The rivalry between Light roast and Dark roast

The old age rivalry is still prevalent among the coffee lovers, the difference between the taste and preference makes it more difficult for the person to take a side. If you ask me which side I am, let me tell you I prefer both. Being a coffee aficionado, I have loved the taste and flavour of both coffees, and I believe there’s room for both. the coffee in the world because both have their own beauty, but there are still many people who can't take a side, and it's understandable.

There is a saying that people who like their coffee darker are more stressed and the lighter ones have a sweet life, but I feel like it's the vice-versa cause don’t the stressed people want more sweetness in their life? Not that the happy ones are searching for struggle.

Overall, I believe that if you are a coffee aficionado you will not take a side on any one of them but prefer and agree with any choices, cause at the end we are in a diverse society and people have different taste buds and we should not be against anyone's favor.

As the name suggests, the darker the roast, it takes more time to roast, and it also has a stronger taste than the lighter ones, which take less time. Both method has their own unique taste and bring different creativity to coffee.

·       Darker roast: mocha, ristretto, affogato, cappuccino (lighter variation), espresso.

·       Lighter roast: americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white, macchiato.
